Looking for oils that perhaps you do not usually use can be a little time consuming.  Using the EO Blends tool in Cosmetic Companion you can review the oils, notes and fragrance group all in one place.  There is always a section in the description suggesting other oils that blend well with the oil you are looking at.

You are informed how many oils and how much you can add to stay within the safety limits for the type of recipe you are developing.  Also, you are warned if you are looking at an oil which has special safety limits.

The description of the oil, together with useful comments and guides to using the oil help you in choosing the right essential oil.  Once you have created the blend you want you can transfer the blend directly into your recipe.  Having done this you can still 'tweak' your recipe should you want to.
